Yep. It finally happened today.
I was getting off an airplane. A young woman with her four year old girl was sitting beside me. As we all stood up to exit, I pulled out my best business wool sport jacket from the overhead bin. The little girl says, “That looks like my grandpas.” I started to look around. The little girl had to be talking about someone else. Not me!
Nope. She pointed right at my sport coat and said it more confident this time. I heard a few people chuckle around me. The mother seemed mortified. The mother started to tell the little girl that many businessman have coats that look like grandpas.
I just smiled and laughed. I have three kids five and under and have experienced this type of scenario before.
Honnestly, it still hurt. I don’t think I will be able to look at my favorite sport jacket the same way again.
